Watched my hubby and best buddy whittle away from 22o pounds to 180 in a matter of a couple of months…last time his Hep C flared up, there were no signs, only our doctor saying he has less than a year to live….

He looked healthy, moved around towing with no signs of wear and tear. He was picked for a worldwide testing for Interferron, only 800 people participated, and he got in…the results? … It put his Hep C into remission for 13 years and also enabled his liver to regenerate…that is…until the drug called Gabapentine (a painkiller) reawakened it….man that sucked…and then poof, he quickly became the Skeleton Man….

Now Art is on the Pegasus program, where he self injects once a week and takes a multitude of pills for the rest of the week…he was lucky to have had years between both programs, he just got in again, by a hair….did I tell you we own the virtual horse ranch??? including all the horseshoes to boot?

Yes, very lucky again. Well from that, within 12 weeks, his virus numbers were over a million, actually 1.6 million were brought down to ZERO….yes Nada, a big zero…whew, man was he ill, weak, and lethargic. I could pin him down with my pinky, and for strength, I’m a wuz too.

Well, his color is back now, he is almost on his middle point in the program, almost 6 months now, need to fatten him up a bit, rebuild his muscle mass, etc….not sure how, but will learn.

Throughout it all, I did many many days of research for helpful foods, and I brought it down to a short list, since we were on a minimal fixed income….900/mth….ouch…not much eh? anyways, the most important veggie/fruit was the papaya….as a fruit, helps somewhat in fighting radiation but as a green unripened fruit, (since I could not get the leaves) I cooked the green insides for stirfries and such, and the skin, I put it in a blender and mixed it with other things to make it palatable, man that was wicked to drink…..

Why Papaya skin is important to digest, be careful, make sure it is only the thin skin….some may have allergies to it, (am not responsible on your choice to do what we did) anyways, I blended the skin for the papain it carries that fights radiation and cancers and Hep C viruses and such….it was the worst thing I ever put into my mouth, but we both did it….did it pay off?…..well I believe so

Why the Papaya seeds….only the ripened fruit seeds….dried and put through a coffee grinder, is great as a peppery spice for foods….but raw, a teaspoon of it a week detoxifies your liver….so I put it in my cold salads, cooked, it loses its power, must be uncooked,,,,same as the papaya skin,,,raw it keeps its papain, cooked it loses it.

Now I am growing my own papaya trees…..man I waited by that flower pot for two months wondering if these seeds would ever germinate….checking them all the time, digging in the dirt, and then….Finally….one seed germinated….only one…so I started to nurture it, then another ten days went by and I ended up with about 30 papaya sprouts….what to do….one tree per 12 feet of ground….

Well, I now had my own papaya leaves, so the ones I knew would not be allowed to grow too big, I took the leaves, mushed them up and mixed it in with his salads….it is the leaves one is after….just one teaspoon of leave oil once a week is what one needs to fight off cancers and radiations, and such….so lets see where this takes us….my papaya tree is only 3 inches high, actually have 5 so far, the rest I fed them to my buddy, lol, he didn’t like it but I asked him if he wanted to live or die…so he quietly ate them…for me….anyways…will come back sometime and report the outcome of my trees….take care…..

LORNE CARDINAL OF “CORNER GAS” FAME TO STAR IN “COPPER THUNDERBIRD”

Nanaimo’s Western Edge Theatre has announced that Lorne Cardinal, one of the stars of the hit TV series “Corner Gas,” will headline its production of “Copper Thunderbird,” running September 21st through 25th at the Nanaimo Entertainment Centre.

Cardinal became well-known to viewers as Sgt. Davis Quinton, Dog River’s good-hearted if not always competent senior RCMP officer. One of the most successful series in the history of Canadian TV, “Corner Gas” ran for six seasons and was seen around the world, including by over one million Canadians each week.

“We’re very lucky that Lorne has just enough time in his schedule to take on this challenging play,” says Western Edge Artistic Producer Frank Moher. “Many people know him from ‘Corner Gas,’ but not as many know that he’s also a highly skilled and experienced stage actor.”

“Copper Thunderbird,” by acclaimed Galiano Island playwright Marie Clements, is a daringly theatrical play about the great painter Norval Morrisseau, who spent the last years of his life in Nanaimo. Cardinal will play Morrisseau in his later years, as he looks back at his younger selves and a life marked by dramatic highs and lows.

It is the first of four plays in Western Edge Theatre’s 2011-12 season. The complete line-up will be officially announced in a live webcast on the Western Edge website (http://westernedge.org) on Monday, Aug. 29th at 12 noon PDT.

Wow, one never knows how connections will turn out and with whom…can’t wait to see the final production at it’s best and also to see how my illustrations have fit in the show.
